Here are a few things about us.
-Lambda Chi Alpha at Lake Forest College became an official chapter on September 25th, 2010 - about 2 years after being formed (Fall 2008).
-We are an active group on this campus. Our brothers are members of: The Stentor, e.Team, Varsity Swim team, Resident Assistants, Forester Guides, Student Ambassadors, Student Government, MSA, Hillel, International Student Organization, Habitat for Humanity, Varsity soccer team, Athletic Council, Homecoming Committee, Art Club, APO (community service organization), Varsity Football team, Amnesty International, and many more. Some are on the Executive Board or captains of their varsity team.
-We partcipate in every event on campus. Whether it be DG Dodgeball, Hillel's Hanukkah Party, an athletic contest, or a Student Government debate, our brothers make sure to be in attendance. We care and are active participants of our community!
- Lambda Chi was the first fraternity
to abolish pledgeship and install
Associate Membership. We don't do pledging!
- Lambda Chi Alpha is one of the
first fraternities to abolish hazing.
We do NOT do hazing in any circumstances!
-Our biggest philanthropy events on campus are Watermelon Bash in the Fall and the Quiz Bowl in the Spring.
-Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity was
founded at Boston University on
November 2, 1909.
-Lambda Chi Alpha is centered around
7 core values; Loyalty, Duty, Respect,
Service & Stewardship, Honor, Integrity
and Personal Courage, to which every
member lives up to every day.
Treat other people like you would treat yourself.
-Lambda Chi Alpha has
one of the biggest alumni networks.
You never know in 20 years from now - might be your boss, co-worker, friend, or even brother in-law!
-We have community service events throughout the semester, sometimes just Lambda Chi, and sometimes we pair up with a sorority to maximize efforts. We have weekly brotherhood events as well (ranging from buffalo wild wings to study groups).
-In 1939, Lambda Chi Alpha and
Theta Kappa Nu merged becoming
the largest fraternal merge
in fraternity history.
-More than 10,000 brothers of more
than 200 chapters of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity complete the largest single-day fraternity philanthropic project in North America. At LFC, we have the Pumpkin Smash event in the fall, and Quiz Bowl event in the spring. All the money we raise goes to the North American Food Drive. Get ready for an awesome new pihlanthropy this semester!
